Incredible India Adventure -Agra Fort

AGRA UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE

Agra Fort of course is situated in Agra, 3 hours journey by train from New Delhi. It looks like a walled city and the only entrance to it was once a drawbridge ( now you have a proper bridge and the moat is dry with no crocodiles ). It was surrounded by a moat to prevent enemies from entering/attacking. Luckily I was not born during that era and I could visit it as a tourist. This Agra Fort has a very interesting story behind it so make sure you read lots about it before going! The entrance tickets cost Rs250 (save Rs50 if you buy it with the Taj Mahal's ticket ).

Nothing can beat this magnificent walls. Sometimes buildings like this make me wondered how people ages ago built the buildings without the help of modern technologies not to mention that Agra Fort is about half a century old. Even architects these days have problems handling and designing a smaller version of this.

The view from the top. The dry moat.

We had a very interesting experience there. This old man kept pestering us to have him as our tour guide ( many of them there ) and the starting price was Rs500 and we managed to get him for Rs100 and we told him we wouldn't give tips. Well, after the tour he asked for tips ( we were going to give him but because he was not nice, we ignored him ). Another lesson learnt for the day.

The walls are so high that no enemies could enter!
One of the buildings inside the fort, mostly made of sandstone.

There are 2 buildings like the one above just opposite each other. One is the winter house which is stayed during winter while the other one is stayed during summer as it's cooler. But how?
Great jobs by the great men of the great time!

This place fascinated me most. There are many rooms, doors, stairs and even hiding places and one might get lost in this building. It's the place for the King to play 'Hide-and -Seek with the wives...

Old time 'heater'. Hot water was pump to a 'container' behind the wall during winter to heat the room up. Clever people!

The ceiling but with most of the gold removed/stolen.

The emperor of India who built Taj Mahal stayed in this room till he died for many years as he was believed to have gone 'mad' thinking of his beloved wife.

A peek of Shah Jahan's room where he spent the rest of his life in. All built with white marbles and semi-precious gems.

The hand-carved wall in white marbles.

Taj Mahal from Shah Jahan's room. He was said to cry himself to sleep most nights missing his wife as the room he's in overlooks Taj Mahal.

Buy - A - Bride?

MAIL ORDER BRIDE

When I was googling through the google for woman ( that's not because I am interested in women but to think of my next post ), I came over 'bride buying' . Do you know bride-buying is an illegal trade which is happening everywhere in this world and NOW it's happening in Malaysia! Men are able to search on the website and they even have a 'catalogue' to flip through.

Unfortunately, people describe it as a form of ' Marriage of Convenience'. Men and women believe that they do not need to waste time on going through years of relationship to find it fail whilst some women just do it for the sake of marrying to a 'western man' as they believe they will be provided and may live a luxurious life ( how wrong ).
A marriage is supposed to be the result of a blossomed and successful relationship and it's all about love, feeling and longing.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the advertisements and step to step on how people can purchase these brides by clicking the mouse.
First, you get to choose what physical appearance that you like such as the age, look, height, weight, colour etc.
Second, buy their address and telephone number and you get to get in touch with them or you can even arrange to meet them in person!
Third, just pay with cash or by CREDIT CARDS! Some major agencies accept credit cards! What a joke!
Men are promised that they can even get a refund or an exchange if they are not satisfied with the 'products' or service given. Are you laughing girls?

Those agencies that provide this dating service make us Asian ladies feel so cheap!
And that's one of the reason why some ladies like me are still single. It's cheaper to buy and the qualities are almost assured!

What does SHE really wants?

Woman is a very complicated creature that unfortunately exists in this world. Sometimes she can make the world of a man upside-down. Sadly, man can't live without her either. During arguments, men never seems to say the right thing which women want to listen but most of the time men seems to be 'retarded' and having difficulties in understanding what a woman trying to express or want. I as a woman, want to share how I feel deep down when misunderstood. Sigh~
When she says:
1) NOTHING - She mean 'SOMETHING'! Men should act quickly and be on your toes.

2)5 MINUTES- At least half an hour. You can't blame her as this is as much time she waits for you men when you are at the bar or watching football.

3)GO AHEAD/DO WHAT YOU WANT- Do whatever you want but bear all the consequences if she says it with a raised eyebrows. When she says it with a normal expression, she means 'I give up'.

4)FINE - It definitely means opposite and we are not really fine!

A sensitive guy whom a woman is always looking for, doesn't exist. But is it really that hard for a man to think hard of what we want? We do not want to cry our eyes out neither to be an emotional wreck, we just simply feel unattractive because you guys are stingy in giving your attention to us.

Why does a woman nag? I once heard someone said to me that us women like to repeat and say the same thing/problem over and over again. I want to correct this: We repeat because you guys never listen or being ignorant.

Deep down, most women feel unloved and not important as compared with the bf's friends. Are we asking too much when we ask them to spend more time with us or are we just just being paranoid? It is difficult to understand woman but it's more difficult to understand man!

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS TO TRANSLATE EVERY WORD WE SAID WHEN WE ARE ANGRY TO THE OPPOSITE MEANING!

Nong & Jimmy Thai Grilled Seafood

THAI SEAFOOD BBQ @ TAMAN CAHAYA , AMPANG

I was craving for Thai food for 2 days and my bestie took me to a very nice Thai non air-conditioned restaurant in Ampang. It's a very famous restaurant known as Nong & Jimmy Thai BBQ Seafood. It's not a 5-star restaurant but the food was fantastic! The service was a bit thumb down and the coconut drink was a bit dear ( RM5 per coconut ).

Prawn fried rice, looked normal but tasted awesome!

Grilled cuttlefish ( original flavour )

Curry-powdered crabs..yum! Bet it's the best dish available.

Four of us went and we ordered the minimum crabs required ( 2 ). Still too much as we couldn't finish and ended up took the remaining home. So do not order too much.

Sizzling Tom Yam seafood in a claypot!

Steamed Sea Bass with the chef's special chili sauce. I am still drooling...

YUMMYLICIOUS!!!! I will definitely go there again, our bill came to be RM164.20 ( all the food and 4 coconuts )

Incredible India Adventure - Experiencing India Trains

Various Indian Trains

Indian Rail is the most common mode of transport in India with more than 10billion passengers annually. One can go to Nepal, Bangladesh and Pakistan with it too. At 6am in the morning, the view of Agra Cantt Station as above. Something can be done to solve this problem.

Bhopal Shatabdi is the fastest and most luxury train in India. It can top 150kmp and according an Indian man I met there, it's the best train in India!

This is the train. There are a few classes on this train ( AC Chair Car, AC First Class, Power Cars ).

New Delhi Train Station. It's huge and might take a wee while to find your platform.

All Bhopal Shatabdi travellers are provided with snacks. Above is the picture of our morning tea. See below for surprise!

Breakfast on the train after morning tea! All included in the cheap fare and we got a one litre mineral water by the rail company! What a WAO factor!

On a different train experience I gained , one can order hot 'Lipton' tea for a mere Rs5. What a treat!

This is another train and we bought the class known as sleeper class as one can sit on the chair. They have upper seat and lower one. Good one.

Non AC Chair car, full of fans!

A freaking view from the train. I think it's one of the places where the poors live.

This is the city train but the economics one.

Full of people on the normal class, packed like sardines. We wanted to try but didn't quite fancy the idea of being glued on the skin.

We got ourselves nice first class coach. Look at the difference!
