Happy Halloween 2011

Halloween is a contraction of All-Hallows-Even "evening", is an annual holiday observed on every 31st OCTOBER and common activities include trick or treating, attending costumes parties, carving jack-O-lanterns from pumpkins, lighting bonfires, telling scaries movies and etc. The practice of dressing up in costumes is perhaps the most common, and costumes no longer need be "scary" anymore....

I celebrated mine at the ZOUK in conjunction with the HOT'S 7th Anniversary.

Incredible India Adventure - Experience New Delhi

Day 3 - Full of Surprise ( Bad & Good ) Day in New Delhi.
SpiceJet was the second low cost airline in India and I think it's named Spice because India is famous for its spices. I don't think it's as low cost at all as it cost us RM400+ to fly from Mumbai to New Delhi which is only about 2 hours flight. Sigh, maybe we booked it too near to the dates.

Do not always trust the hotel booking's website when they say they are providing pick ups from the airport. We waited two hours for the hotel's boy ( he was illiterate and couldn't understand or speak to us ) to arrange transport for us but we ended up getting the transport ourselves and he even asked for tips for doing nothing. Well, we were paid back our fare when we complained to the hotel owner. What a waste of time really.

'RIGHT TURN NOT ALLOWED, LEFT TURN NOT FREE' - They must be joking!

Unbelievable and shocked when we saw the whereabouts and condition of this VISA Guesthouse on Pahar Ganj. It was totally the different picture which we saw when booking it. I am so sorry but I will not go back to this guesthouse again though it's quite cheap!

It looked OK and spacious but seriously, the sheets were so dirty and everything was dusty. A bit creepy at nights too. Do not travel out alone at night; no lights around this guesthouse.

Main Qutab Road. Very busy and lots of other hotels.

Went to a decent supermarket but have a proper look at their vegetables..

Capsicums

Guess the taste, only available in India~

After travelling for the whole day, we were starving but there were nowhere decent to eat. It was quite interesting just looking around though..

Bikaner Sweets Corner. Colourful sweets.

After walking for a couple of hours, we found a BAR eventually and thank god, we were saved! Starving and thirsty..

The inside look of the bar..

The first thing we ordered was the locally made Kingfisher beer. Kingfisher is also an airlines in India. Taste a bit salty but nice~

Cheers!

My Happiest Moment!

My Happiest Moment with Olympus Happy Photography.

Happy moments are so precious and so valuable as they only happen naturally and sometimes take us by surprise. I feel so blessed that I was born to live in this era when camera invention's improvement is at it's highest peak. It helps to capture all of our happy moments if we have a camera with us!

About a year ago in August 2010, me and my friends made a dramatic decision to visit India to see the Taj Mahal - one of the seven wonders in the world. We had the choice of going to Taiwan or India but we chose India..what a life changing decision! Just days before we our flight, we only came to realize that Taj Mahal is in Agra while our flight would take us to Mumbai which is REALLY far apart. Well, hard work always pays off. After we had a few sleepless nights, we decided to fly from Mumbai to New Delhi and then by train to Agra. I couldn't believe my own eyes when I saw Taj Mahal right in front of me. I was so happy and my tears nearly rolled down my cheeks upon seeing the amazing building. I was so lucky to have amazing friends travelling with me and we spent so much precious moment together which I will not forget in my entire life. We took so many pictures but this is definitely the one photo which can represent 'My Happiest Moment'.

Many thanks to this couple from Holland whom we met there and took the above photo for us.

P/S: I left my camera at home in Malaysia and I nearly cried when I realised that I didn't have one with me for my entire trip! So many thanks to all my friends who had captured me in their cameras especially my bestie jessying. I love you guys!

Incredible India Adventure - Crawford Market

Crawford Market - Sari Hunting

Crawford Market is one of the most famous market in South Mumbai and is situated opposite Mumbai Police Headquarters just north of the Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus railway station. This market is made up by fruits wholesalers, vegetables wholesalers, varieties of food and poultry (so they sell mainly food) . I heard that it sells illegal animals there too. It is a very busy and crowded place and we were trying our luck here to shop.

Very red and juicy watermelon.

So colourful Kuih-muih

Satay and a lot more food around~~

Well, as our main motive was not food hunting but SARI hunting so we proceeded to the end of the market place where they sell a lot of clothings, cloth, etc. All these colourful cloth caught our eyes..

We ended up in a shop which promised to sell us the sari cheap. And lots of them! I think we bought a piece of the sari on top for Rs250. Not bad right? I supposed that's the cheapest we could get out there!
I kinda like the above piece of sari because it is just so shinny and glittering all over and I knew that I would regret if I didn't try it on even though I didn't plan to buy a black one.

So I politely asked the shopkeeper to nicely demonstrate to me on how to put on a sari. Well, I offered to be a model. It's a lot of procedures and I cannot remember now on the ways to fold and fold the piece of 6 metres shinny cloth.

Firstly, the good looking young man tight a piece of cloth on my waist and started to work his way to create the nice SARI.

Nearly there...

The first pattern and style.

The second pattern.

The third pattern.

And the last was the 'best'...but I didn't like it. Sorry, I refused to buy this one...Instead I bought a red and a purple one as below... But now they just sit in the cupboard and maybe will never see the sun again...
